Inner Thigh Workouts!

Hey peeps,

Looking to add some inner thigh workouts or learn what exercises target that area? Can you guys recommend what you do or what will help that area. Please include how many sets/reps if you can!

Little about me I have about 115lbs to lose. I hold most of my weight in my stomach, hips and upper inner thigh so I want to start build muscle so as the fat leaves there's not this large amount of loose skin, as much as I can control.

Recently got into weight lifting and I love it. Don't have a set routine yet still figuring it out which is why I am looking to add these types of exercises to my leg day routine! (=

    you cant spot reduce fat unless you are getting liposuction

    according to your ticker you have over 100 pounds yet to lose. just lose weight and the fat will come off from all over, probably in some others faster than others depending on your genetics.

    as for a set routine, check out these websites:
    strong lifts
    starting strength

    or these books:
    strong curves
    starting strength
    new rules of lifting for women

    do one of those routines, eat at a non "hello i want to pretend i live in a prison camp " deficit and profit from fat loss

    Would really be helpful if someone could mention exercises that target the thigh and specifically inner thigh muscles.

    I know that I cant spot reduce fat. Just looking for workouts to strengthen/tone a problem area.

    Sumo deadlifts and goblet squats seem to hit my inner thighs the hardest.

    I don't know how many times I have seen this type of post. You can't spot reduce. You can firm up all over if you do any sort of resistance workout, even body weight. A workout that includes leg lifts, dead lifts, squats, etc will help.

    Any good full-body program, like the ones mentioned above, works that area properly. Working just your thighs won't be as effective.

    You can do 3 sets of the appropriate weight (I use the lowest setting, I believe its 30 pounds) for you on the Cybex Eagle Leg Extension. You can also use the Cybex Hip Flexor machine (Abduction and Adduction).

    You can ask someone at your gym to help you use the equipment.

    lunges & one leg squats (with your non standing leg propped on a bench behind you)
    both use the inner thigh muscle as a stabilizer. it's an incredible burn

    also, wide stance squats

    I never said what that quote was. It's not fair to put words in my mouth or ASSUME what I meant by TONE.

    I meant just what I asked and what the topic title says INNER THIGH WORKOUTS. What I choose to do with them should be up to me.

    Really appreciate those of you who offered workouts/exercises. It takes a lot for a person to ask others opinions and for help. Sometimes JUST answering the question and leaving out your personal opinions and assumptions is all a person needs.

    So..... to strengthen and tone a muscle you don't use weights? I'm confused, she said nothing about spot reducing fat, but instead wanting to strengthen and tone the muscle so it looks good when the fat is gone.

    Was it a reading comprehension error, or did you assume when she said tone she was really meaning fat reduction?

    I also lie on my side, put a heavy weight on my inner thigh and lift my leg toward the ceiling. Targets the inner thigh muscle. Seems to work well for me.

    Horseback riding and sex are good too. and fun.

    Try them out, see which works best for you.
