My daughter is 6 weeks and I'm getting back into logging food and exercise. They say that BFing burns 300-500 calories. How do i log this? And what do you put? 300? 500? Somewhere in between?

SInce your daughter is so young and depends exclusively on breastmilk, I would go with the 500. If you look in the food database, type in Breastfeeding and it will bring up an entry with negative calories to put in your diary. SInce your babe is so new, you want to make sure you get plenty of cals to not affect your milk suplly. My baby just turned one, but she still nurses at least 5 times a day, so I count 300 for her.0
