Finally poking my head out...

Hello hello... well, I joined MFP a billion years ago and had a very closeted and private use of it. Used it. Quit. Used it. Quit. Rinse. Repeat. Until about 6th months ago, I was diagnosed as pre-diabetic. I got the classic "wake-up call" and began to actively track my food, exercise, etc. For the first time in my life, I made positive steps toward a lifestyle change. Although, as most of you know the journey so far has not been easy. I've shamed myself a lot in the past. And I'm still trying to working through over eating, cravings, hating exercise, and having used food as a coping mechanism my whole life.

And here I am, substantial progress made, but still so far to go. My partner and I have been working together to change the way we eat and get active. And while having his support is so helpful, I'm at the point where I want and feel the need for community. These aren't the things you say when you get to know people. I'm out of school, working a new job, and have finally decided to look for a place where I can meet some new people (local and abroad) to assist me through this journey and vice versa.

I recently updated my profile in case you want to know a bit more about me and am hoping to connect with people along the way.

Here goes nothing.

Molly
