My Great Idea - You Can Steal It If You Want It

So, you know in all the nice restaurants, grocery stores, markets, and eateries where you obtain your delicious healthy foods you "nom nom nom" on each day? Why don't they make it standard to have bar codes beside each and every food selection (and in restaurants beside each item on the menu), so that you could scan it with your phone and add it immediately to your FREAKIN MFP account, or other food tracking system? I know they have the freaking technology and it's cheap to do so why isn't it standard? I'm selfish and I want this.

This very website will do that for foods that have a bar code. That's how I track most of my foods. Or have I misunderstood what you want?0

I just eat at chain restaurants so the calorie totals are known.0

I don't need to steal your idea. But thanks.0

Most chains do this.
Most mom & pop places don't because it's expensive to do the nutrition analysis.
If you're looking for some ideas on what to eat, and get the nutrition information - this website typically has some good suggestions: www.healthydiningfinder.com.
Not as broad of a selection as on MFP, but you will be able to narrow it by low sodium or other dietary restrictions.0 -
