Yea, I love biking! I do triathlons and I am signed up for an olympic distance triathlon coming up mid-september! I can't wait!0

Mountain biker here, try to get in many miles as possible, haven't been in any contest or anything, just for fun time and exercise. Dreaming of buying a road bike tho.0

I don't do formal training or races, or even have an expensive bike, but I do ride my road bike 14 miles round trip to work every day! I love it; transportation and exercise at the same time. I'd spend about 40 minutes on the road if I were driving, and it takes me about 60 minutes a day to bike it. That's an entire hour of exercise with only an extra 20 minutes of time spent! I can't believe more people don't do it.0

Cycling is my preferred activity in the warmer weather, most of which is on the road.0

Here!! And there's a nice group out there called "Bicycling - Road and Mountain" with some good MFPeeps. But I'm mainly here for the bike porn....that's an awfully perty bike in your profile pic0

Cycling anytime I have time and active member of Camden Cycling Club. We ride Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings.
I ride a "Scott" and it is an awesome bike.
I like to mountain bike as well. Always looking for new trails in Southern Georgia or Northern Florida.0 -

I'm an avid cyclist in general. Started as a roadie, got drug into mountain biking and love that too, and now cyclocross. I've done a bunch of road time trial races, a handful of mountain bike XC (Cross Country) races, a couple of longer mountain bike endurance races (3 and 6 hour) and I'm doing my first Cyclocross race next weekend. I do most of my riding and training on the road or on gravel with the 'cross bike, but I try to get onto the trails at least once per week.
i'm a complete bike and gear junky, and I'm a firm beleiver in the n+1 theory of bike ownership (http://www.velominati.com/the-rules/#12) and currently own 4:
Road: Specialized Roubaix SL2, pimped with carbon wheels, power meter, and other odds and ends
Time Trial: Specialized Transition Pro, pimped with deep 88 and 60mm carbon aero wheels
Mountain: Specialized Rockhopper Comp 29er. Bone stock except for all the added mud.
Cyclocross: Fuji Cross 1.3, stock. I also have a Ridley X-Fire frameset arriving in two days.0 -

Hey happy to see a fellow gear junkie!
I ride a Pinarello FP Due, full Ultegra with Campy wheels on the road and a Kona Kula, Full XT with a rock shox recon sl up front on dt swiss wheels.....0 -
I love cycling, it's my primary daily means of transport. I do about 150km per week unless the weather's really bad. I'm lucky to live in a city with lots of cyclists and a reasonable cycling infrastructure plus lots of cycle-friendly countryside.0

OMG...I love cycling! MTB and Road ... does not really matter which, as long as I am outside on my bike0
-
Love biking, right now I do an hour a day, 6x a week.0
-
I started out mountain biking and then tried road riding....jump 20 years later and I am still absolutely in love with both. I road ride more often since I can leave from my front door. I've been riding a Kestral Talon (named George...yes after Hincapie) for about 12 years now. I just can't bring myself to upgrade. I have two mountain bikes, a hardtail and a full suspension, both are Specialized.0

Another Roadie here. Due to my work schedule and a toddler at home, I can only ride twice a week right now. Currently have a 2013 Wilier Izoard XP with full Ultegra 6700 (I know blasphemy on an Italian bike) with a set of Williams S30’s (and a powtap hub) on it. If I can achieve my goal weight and (maintain it), I will be picking up a De Rosa Nuovo Classico frame and build it up with the Campy Record Group.
While I do not have a bike named George, George Hincapie once lapped me (and the entire field) in a criterium back when I raced in the Junior Division. Every since that race it has all be downhill!0 -
Bought my 1st road bike about 6 months ago... been hooked on it ever since. Such a sweet f'n ride.
looking to do a 90mile marathon in October, I should be able to kill it
Bike is a cannondale caad80 -

Sweet!
My first road bike was steel framed Sekine that I bought back in the '70s (Couldn't afford an Italian road machine at the time) and it served me very well.
Took a few years off riding but picked up a Giant Defy Alliance a few years ago (Tiagra groupset -pretty entry level) and it now has thousands of happy kms on it (recreational riding, a handful of duathlons and metric centuries)0 -
I been commuting 16 miles round trip to work and home this summer. I also like to do a 30 mile ride on the weekends if I don’t have a project around the house to work on. Last few weekends I been replacing facial board and gutters on the house so I have missed my weekend ride.0

Come join a bunch of us over on the monthly bike challenge forum as it has been great motivation to get in a few more miles. Next triathlon for me is November (along with a half marathon a week later), so been putting lots of wear on both my running shoes, and road bike.
After a few unfortunate thefts, my main road bike is an aluminum Trek 1200SL (tiagra/105 mix) I snagged used off craisglist (w. original receipts), and my baseball game city commuter is a $170 wally-world Kent Denali (now very rideable with lots of tuning, new tires, new brakes, and TLC) that I won't feel compelled to viciously avenge the theft of.
After having 3 bikes stolen in the last 15 years, I've sworn never to spend over $300 on a new bike, and still enjoy the sport despite suffering from the requisite amounts of bike envy. Losing 5lb off my gut is slightly cheaper than upgrading my more than rideable 20lb road bike for a 15lb high end machine.0 -

I only currently have a MTB but I want to start commuting to work more, and want something to ride on pavement in the winter, so looking at CX bikes (not that I can afford one, but looking).0 -
Here. I usually ride about 50-60 miles a week. I'll be bumping that up shortly as I start to train for my 70.3 in April.0
-
I wouldn't call myself a road cyclist. i'm just a cyclist in general - working towards cycling as my main frm of transportation, year-round. In Canada, it makes for a lot of fun.
I started out with mountain biking, but there's no dirt near where I live now, so I just ride my commuter everywhere.0 -
I ride on the road when the trails are muddy. Does that count?0
-
You bet! Ride 4-5x week, mostly commuting (23 miles round trip), on a Lemond Alpe D'Huez.
Am looking to try CX as soon as I can save up enough for the bike I want.0 -
This morning it was 53 degrees riding to work and I realized that the winter spin class is getting closer. lol0

I have bike envy and I have STORAGE envy. I live in NYC and feel lucky to have room to hang one bike in my apartment--even that is a luxury here--but when I read people saying they have 3 or 4 bikes, I really want a garage.0 -

Why would you avoid the mud? That's when you have the most fun!0
