Just taking a moment to remember where we were and what we felt on the day of the Sept. 11th attacks.

I was actually at the gym, working out. This was a small gym with just a couple of televisions. When it happened, everyone stopped what they were doing, and we all gathered around and watched together. That's where I saw the 2nd plane hit. I'll never forget that moment, and how scared and confused we all were.

So, where were you?

In Junior high school. I walked home for lunch and my mom was crying cause my dad had been away & was supposed to fly to NYC that day. (His flight was thankfully cancelled.)

When I got back to school, the whole school had basically stopped. We stayed in our classrooms and watched the news and talked about what was going on.

Junior Year of HS getting ready for the day..listening to the morning news, in shock and silence. I remember just feeling sick to my stomach as more footage aired. Then I went to school and all we did all day in every class was watch the news.

No idea. I don't think I was checking the news that day, wasn't big on that when I was 11 years old. All I remember was being really irritated that it was all they were showing on TV for months and months. And years and years. Then a Nicolas Cage movie came out about it and it was the single most American thing I'd ever heard of.

I was in the lunch hall at FSU getting breakfast. I was paying and I kept looking up at the TV screen and couldn't understand what I was looking at. Everyone was staring, I thought it was a movie at first (I can't see from afar) but as I moved closer I realized it wasn't a movie. Then I saw the second plane. Shortly after the entire town was shut down, it being Tallahassee and a Bush in office there, they thought something would happen there too. Some days, I still can't believe it.
