no results but... a NSV!!!

I am in no way defeating the scales.... I am in no way defeating the tape measure... but this morning I posted this as my status...

i remember when i was at high school and for one of the units of Health studies we would do fitness. They would require us to do a beep test and i would struggle to reach a 6.5 and we would have to run 1.5km under 15mins and again I would struggle, at 15 years of age.... today, 12 years and a pregnancy older I can reach over 9 on the beep test, and this morning I ran 2.7km in 15 min 11 sec... I'm so proud of me :D

I am winning, I may not feel thinner, and the tape measure may agree with me but I am definitely stronger.. and these stats are my proof!!! I make weight gains at the gym, and again my proof that this is working is more than just the scales and the tape measure... keep going, I know sometimes I struggle with lack of results and find it difficult to be motivated and at these times I need to remember what I have achieved!!!!

  • This is a great thread and just what I needed to hear this week. I have to remind myself that getting fitter and healthier is the primary goal, and that seeing numbers go down on the scales is secondary to that. Well done to those running 6 or 7 minutes without stopping for the first time. The first time I ran one mile without stopping (took 17 minutes) I was so elated - I still am really!
