Hang in there. Stick with it.
You'll find your weigh-ins will fluctuate. One week you'll have gained 0.5 lb. or more. But when you look at the overall trend, you'll notice it's downward. Focus on that and not each week's individual weight loss.0 -
Your first intial loss - if you have one - will be water loss....then as you start to work out - you may stay the same or gain a little due to the fact that you are building muscle - which really does weigh more then fat.....this is what happened to me and still continues to happen...I stay the same one week..then loss the second week.....you will eventually see it go0

Keep at it. I had the same thing happen to me. Eventually my body got the idea and the weight has been steadily coming off. Sometimes you will plateau, sometimes lose a lot, but throught it all keep going!0

I've heard this a lot from people on here. Don't rely so much on the scale. As said before muscle weighs more than fat, so as you lose the fat you gain muscle and therefore keep that weight. Eventually you will lose that weight and get to your goals weight, but it won't happen quickly.
I got from other people here to measure your inches instead of weighing every week. I'm only gonna weigh once a month, and do my inches each week. You can lose inches without the scale moving much.0 -
I just read an article yeterday about this topic. It said not to be discouraged because sometimes your body has to adjust to the changes you have made to your metabolism. It's used to the way you were eating before and now needs to recalibrate itself. Once it does it's full speed ahead. Give it a little more time. You'll get there!0

I haven't lost a whole bunch either, but I see huge differences in my body. Things are just much more toned and I can deal with the number on the scale as long as my clothes fit better and I see changes in the mirror. Don't get discouraged. I am in this to be healthier, not just to lose weight.0
