Please help

Hi everyone I have decided to loose some weight I am 22, female, 5ft1.5 and 9stone

I have been dieting for almost two week now and I want to make this a lifestyle change as oppose to a short term fix but at the minute I am being more strict while I loose the jiggly bits. When I loose half a stone I will be happy and up my calories etc.

My diet currently consists of 1200cal of the following food: chicken, turkey, tuna, ham, veggies, fruit, greek yogurt, phd diet protein, semi skimmed milk, oats, eggs, brown rice.

I have been doing the gym everyday with a mix of cardio and weights, I go swimming a couple of times a week (30 min mile) and I do around 2/3 exercise classes (boot camp/metafit/spinning) I also walk most places so at least 3 miles a day.

How long would you say to see physical changes sticking to this routine? After 10 days I lost 5lb (I was 9.5 stone) but I am aware this was probably just water weight I am more curious to hear how people following a similar diet plan seen changes in their appearance

At 126 you don't have much to lose so you can expect about a half pound a week.

I hVe no experience trying to lose being that close to the number, but everyone says it's hard and not to expect more than .5lb per week.

    Good luck!
So you are eating no vegetables?
OP listed the foods she's eating. Veggies were included on the list. :)

Yeah, I'm not seeing anything wrong with what you are eating. The closer we get to the goal, the harder the body fights you. You'll get there. Keep working it.

    First: lose, not loose.

Second: It really depends, I didn't see anything till about 30lbs. People around be didn't notice till around that time either. But I have a lot more to lose than you so you might see the changes sooner. But I've heard between 10-20lbs is about average for when people start noticing the physical changes if they stick with it.
  • I keep reading people stressing over non loosing weight quickly, but it's normal, I also freaked out at first. I started going to the gym 3 years ago. I weighted 14 stones and without dieting almost I lost the first stone ad a half soooo quickly.
Now I'm perpetually stuck in between 11 and 11.5 stones. I eat much more healthy and exercise more, however I don't seem to be able to loose that extra stone I'd like.
so i don't even want to imagine what must be like to loose 4 pounds when you are only 9 stones...
    Keep going!
Oh and also! be careful not to freak out if you suddenly gain 1 pound or so. That also happened to me when I changed exercises, I all of a sudden started putting on weight, but did not really eat much. My trainer at the gym said it was completely normal since I had never been very active and had never done exercises involving my muscles. If you want to reshape your body you need to work your muscles, and if like me (although I dont knw if thats the case) you've never done that, you'll gain a little bit of muscle weight.
