Weekly calorie deficit = more eating?

Hey, first post on here.
I've been using MFP for some time now and it is currently helping me fight several eating disorders.
My app says I never eat to or over my calorie limit (2060). I have caloric deficit -action going on everyday, (only by max. 500) (I hit my protein intake everyday, though).
So, I recently discovered the 'weekly' -tab on the 'Nutrition' section. It says I am 1400 net calories under my weekly goal.
Does this mean I can eat 1400 excess calories a day without gaining weight?
Cheers.

I look at that too to even out the over and under days but I think if you've checked it on a Sunday when you've got 7 completed days it's giving you what you've got left for the whole week, not per day. The way to check would be to go back across the week and add up what you were under by each day. Glad to read this site is helping you - it's been great for me!0

Nope, it means that you ate slightly less than your goal each day, reaching a total of 1400 less than your weekly total over the week. You can go ahead and splurge on those for a treat meal, as some people do, or just take it as bonus weight loss and forget it.
ETA: It will vary; if you look at it on Monday, when the week has just reset, you will be under your weekly goal by 14420, which is 2060 calories per day multiplied by the seven days in a week.0 -
Thank you so much both of you!!!
I am not trying to lose weight, as I have already gone from being overweight (87 kg) to normal weight (62 kg) (I am now 62kg and MFP is helping me maintain it).
So, if I eat the 1400 calories I have left over from this week today (Saturday) and eat under maintenance tomorrow (Sunday), I'll be fine and won't gain weight? (This is my eating disorder speaking, lol)
Thanks.0 -
Yes, you can eat those calories today and eat at maintenance tomorrow and not gain weight.
ETA: Or, you can eat half today and half tomorrow as well and not gain weight. Basically you have 2060 calorie goal today and 2060 tomorrow, and you have 1400 extra that you didn't eat over the past week, so you have 5520 calories that you can eat over the course of today and tomorrow.0
