I have cirrhosis, stage 3 kidney disease, neuropathy (walk with cane) and Sjogrens.
About 6 weeks ago doc put me on Lyrica and my appetite got out of control. I've gained 30+ lbs. So, he gave me diet guidelines he wants me following. I was over what my doctors wanted me at before, now the amount I need to loose has doubled.
So I'm using fitnesspal to help keep me where I'm suppose to be. I'm at 192 now, docs want me down around 130-135.
I'm homebound, but have a basic exercise bike here. I used to use it for 30 mins a day when I was in physical therapy, but that was over a year ago now 5 mins and my legs give out.
Would appreciate any words of advice or support. After tracking what I eat for last few days, the diet part is almost under control. Think it has to do with being able to see the numbers every day. Now I'm trying to up my activity level. Gonna try some chair exercises since I can't stand for long. The pain in my feet is constant.
Sorry for rambling on. Just trying come up with some type of routine.

Hi Jen,
In Feb my Liver Enzymes were slightly elevated so the Dr thought I might have NAFLD. Saw a GI in July after a ultrasound (had referral issues with insurance). Went for my endoscope last month was ok. But Thursday at the GI he said its possible I have Cirrhosis and I need to get the weight off. I am disabled as well. I got myself a clip on pedometer that's so small I can hid it under my shirt. As every little bit helps. I also have a exercise bike.
I started out doing 5 minutes on the bike and adding one minute per day twice a day. So the first day it was 10 minutes then 12 now I do 2 hours a day some days if I have the time.. Not saying you should get up to that. But every little bit helps when I first started MFP 3 yrs ago I was 350 pounds coming back now I was 252 on a 5'0" frame.
Feel Free to friend me & best of luck.0
