Scale variability

My scale is okay but old. If I move it, I get a different reading, within about 5 lbs. I try to keep it in the same spot. I have 50 lb to lose so in the scheme of things 5 lbs won't make much difference, but it confuses me now when I am just starting. I have been using the weights from the doctors scale but I would like to keep track more often. Does anyone else have a wonky scale? Does it matter?

    Everytime you move the scale you should recalibrate it by stepping on and off it quickly, and that should help make the numbers more consistent. Some scales will say C after that to let you know it worked.

    The scale only matters to your thought process. You can lose without ever weighing. :)

    It does make sense to use the same one as much as possible, since they vary. :)

    If you want a new scale, get one! But it's needed to lose.
