Food scale broke, boo

Tracking calories again after a couple years off of it. I used my food scale intermittently during that time for cooking.

Unpacked it after a move today and found that the batteries had exploded in the bottom. So now I have to get a new one this week.

    Mine stopped turning on. When I decided to get serious about this DH got me the "Kitchen Gurus Glass Top Digital Food Scale" on Amazon, and so far I love it.

    I'm a fan of Ozeri. I went through a couple scales at first and then came across the Ozeri food scale - loved it. Ended up getting a bathroom scale that was Ozeri, too. And I love it, too!

    Why not just clean up the battery leak in your scale and then put new batteries in it? It'll take you two minutes and you'll have the scale working today..

    I tried that, but the scale would not turn on. I think the battery leak damaged the scale itself.
