Food Database Question

I just posted my dinner and noticed the nutrition info on the package was different than what's posted in the food database. Now, I'm worried...I've been using my past eating log to help when deciding what to it. Can I trust the calorie info on the database?

i have found similar problems with the data base and think that it has actually compromised my diet, thus I try to know exactly what I am eating and its caloric intake prior to eating. This basically eliminates eating out unfortunately.

Your able to 'edit' your food products...You have to do them manually. Not sure if that is what you were lookin' for...

I don't trust it one bit actually, as I've found the same problem, so I verify everything, and edit the item if it's off, or create my own. I find that different countries have different values listed, so I will create it and put the country abbreviation in brackets after the brand name, ie. Kirland Signature (Cdn). This way it' sin "My Foods" and is a lot easier to find next time!

I feel so stupid I should have noticed this earlier. Thanks for confirming what I thought was happening. I'll have to start paying more attention.

Responses all seem to be in favor of double and triple check the numbers. Thanks for your reply.

Anything I enter I compare side by side with the package and make sure it's all correct. I've gone through, literally, a page and a half of listings for the same items and still ended up needing to enter it myself because they were all wrong or missing something.
