Anyone else with a low TDEE?

Hi everyone.

I have a TDEE of about 1500-1600. I'm 21, female, 5'2, I'm very small boned and mostly squishy. It's kind of depressing I know. I discovered how low it was when THAT ^^ was what I maintained on for 6 months at the beginning of this year before deciding to get back to my pre-vacation weight. (6lb lighter than now)

The 1600 is what I get when I exercise. I walk, because my lungs have very low capacity and cannot handle running or jogging (I can't take in that much oxygen at a time). After all this time walking my body is very much used to it so I don't burn what I used to.

I know the solution. Building muscle. But there's no "worthy" gym here where I can do that. I do some resistance which may help with my shape. But that's about it.

I need to get myself a 25kilo bag of dog food... Only I dunno how the heck I'll be able to exercise with it?!

Anyone else with this problem? Does it make you sad too? Almost makes me want to regain my 60lb lost before just so I can eat more...Yeah no not so much. Lol It's not like I'm hungry. I just get jealous of other women maintaining on like 2000.

End whine.

    I know how you feel.
I get a bit pee'd off as well (on 1500-1600 cals also) and do get very jealous that others can scoff 2000 cals without having to "worry".
With me, my TDEE is more to do with my age (48) and height (5' 3.5) than being small boned.
I've got to face facts, i can't eat the same as how i ate when i was 25.
But, as long as you're mostly eating healthy foods, 1500/1600 should be OK. But when i feel like a Burger Meal or Pizza, i just make sure to do more exercise that day.
I certainly wouldn't think of "packing it all in" and start eating like there's no tomorrow!

I'm short, do I understand the low TDEE. It makes me a bit sad I can't eat as much lol. You can try body weight exercises for your resistance work. There are a lot of sources online.

Mine's about 1400. I've learned to fill up on nonstarchy vegetables.

That seems very low. My thinking is that your TDEE is higher but you're understimating your calorie intake.

I doubt it. I weigh everything I eat. But yeah I mean, calorie counting isn't an exact science no matter how accurately you weigh. That seems to be the number though. Like I said I maintained on that for 6 months. Unless I miscounted everyday for those 6 months, this is pretty much my TDEE.
