I am a sauce addict! I cannot eat anything without copious amounts of mayo or barbecue sauce or dressing etc but I had to stop myself if I was going to reach my goals so I started making my own vinigarette and I havent looked back! here is a couple of recipes that I have made and would like to share enjoy!

Sara's shallot vinigarette - I dont use measurements I just add how much of things that I like

some finely chopped garlic and shallots (spring onions) and cook them for a little bit so the garlic isnt bitter
a few drops of fish sauce
a few drops of soy sauce (go easy if you are watching sodium intake)
balsamic vinegar
lemon juice
extra virgin olive oil

Put in a jar and shake shake shake until combined! I find it tastes great after a few hours/ overnight when all the flavours soak in together.

Orange vinigarette recipe

Fresh squeezed orange juice
Finely chopped garlic
Organic Apple cider vinegar
Himalayan pink salt
Extra virgin Olive oil

Cook garlic and olive oil for a few minutes then put all ingredients into a protein shaker and shake it up or whisk together and voila! Clean healthy vinigarette that wont go to your belly!

This vinaigrette recipe is not sweet, even though it has a touch of honey in it. I feel it’s perfectly balanced and the honey compliments the fresh rosemary nicely. You can substitute different herbs, fresh or dry if you want to, and feel free to double the recipe so you won’t have to make more as soon. It’s helpful to buy 4-5 salad dressing carafes or something similar to make and store a variety of homemade dressings in. Also, if you buy little 2 oz. plastic containers with lids you can bring the perfect portion of healthy dressing to work with your homemade salad.

    Rosemary, honey vinaigrette recipe:

1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil

1/3 cup apple cider vinegar (Braggs organic with mother)

    1/3 cup spring water

1 Tbs. course ground prepared mustard

    1 Tbs. fresh rosemary, chopped

    1 tsp. minced garlic

1 tsp Himalayan sea salt (contains 82 minerals)

    ¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions: put all ingredients in bottle and shake vigorously.

Calories: 40 per tablespoon, Serving size: 3-4 Tbs. for large entre salad
