Are you asking if it's ok to drink a soda slowly?

Huh? Just eat/drink. What's the fun in drinking flat soda throughout the day?

Meal/Drink timing does not matter in the slightest.

Not something worth worrying about. Just eat whatever you want and make sure it fits into your macros.

Though dsipping a soda slowly over an extended period of time will keep you from having one big sugar spike, you will be getting several smaller spikes throughout the day. Soda is basically liquid sugar and about as bad as you can get for regulating your BS levels. Try switching to diet soda if you can't give up soda all together.
I know it can be a rough transition at first as I was completely addicted to Pepsi before finding out I had diabietes, but if you just make yourself drink the diet for a little while you will get to point where thats whiat tastes "right". If you can, your best best is to get off soda all together and drink water or tea. After a bit without any I soon got so that any tast of soda now is just distastful (yucky surypy taste).
Also, by cutting out that high calorie high sugar drink you'll be amazed at how much faster and easier the pounds come off. And weight loss is always a help in controllong sugar levels.
Hope this helps. Best of luck in your health journey.
