My favorite protein recipes :)
As requested from my friends list a few weeks back, here are my favorite easy protein recipes. I've tried several variations and several other recipes- but these so far are the best, in my opinion. i tweaked recipes i have found on instagram and rippedrecipes.com, and some these are my favs so far
(note- Trutein protein powder is what i use. Cinnabon and Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup flavors. by far the best protein powder I've ever tried)
Pancakes: (all variations should be mixed in a blender and then cooked like normal pancakes. stats below are for my exact ingredients, for ONE serving)
V1: Cinnabon--
1 scoop Trutein Cinnabon protein powder
1/4cup 1 minute oats
1/4 cup milk (I used Light vanilla soy)
1 egg and 1 egg white
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4cup water (without it, its too thick)
Stats: 320cal, 7F, 20C, 37P
V2: cottage cheese (doesnt taste the cottage cheese AT ALL- if it did, i wouldnt eat it )
4 egg whites
1 tbsp PB2
1/2cup 1 min oats
1/2cup fat free cottage cheese
1/2 tsp each cinnamon and vanilla extract
Stats: 330cal, 4F, 40C, 34P
V3: cake batter
1 scoop Trutein Cinnabon protein powder
1/4 cup milk (I used Light vanilla soy)
1/4 cup water
3 egg whites
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2tbsp coconut flour
1 packet truvia and 1/2 tsp baking powder
Stats: 266cal, 4F, 21C, 39P
My favorite Protein mug cake (this is a large version, cut in half for a snack size one, and dont microwave as long)
1 scoop trutein protein powder (either cinnabon or chocolate peanut butter cup)
1/4 cup milk (I used Light vanilla soy)
2 egg whites
1 tbsp swiss miss cocoa powder
2 tbsp PB2
1/8cup water
mix all together then drop 1 tbsp natural peanut butter (i used JIF) in the middle- dont stir
heat for 90 seconds and enjoy as a cake
Stats: 359cals, 12F, 29C, 43P
Pudding
1 scoop trutein protein powder ( chocolate peanut butter cup)
1/3 cup milk (I used Light vanilla soy)
1 tbsp Better n Peanut Butter (less cals than regular PB)
mix together and refridgerate for at least 30 minutes.
Stats: 198cals, 3F, 13C, 29P (mix in a few dark chocolate chips if you want- but then obviously change the stats)
Protein Muffins
mix together and pour in muffin pans- bake for about 12 min at 425
1 tbsp Chia Seeds
2scoops trutein cinnabon protein powder
3/4cup natural apple sauce (or 1 banana- but different stats)
1 cup 1-min oats
4 egg whites
2 packets truvia
Stats: makes 6 muffins, each: 124cals, 2F, 16C, 13P
Easy PopTarts
microwave your fav quest bar for 7 seconds, cut in half, and roll with rolling pin.
put 1-2 tbsp of your fav nut butter, nutella or jam, then cover with the other half
wait 2 min until it cools, and then press fork around the edges to create a pocket
top with pb2 (any flavor) and some sprinkles. SO GOOD
those are not all of the ones ive tried, but they are def my favs! enjoy!
