Here we all at week 4 and going pretty strong I think! April is still under the weather, so send her some well wishes while she's a little down and out. Hope you get to feeling better and quick April!! :flowerforyou:
Start getting some ideas together for H2O's next challenge. Perhaps an Easter/Spring Challenge? H2O's 20(lbs) Bunny Challenge or so on.... any ideas you have would be appreciated!!
As for this weeks challenge's, gonna keep them fairly simple, here we go!
Challenge 1: Get your drink on, water that is! Up your water intake (within healthy limits) this week compared to last week. :drinker:
Challenge 2: Why not try some toning exercises? Be it a pilates dvd (youtube has some good ones if you don't have any) or 30day shred, whatever you have available to tone.. let's do some toning up at least 3x this week.
Challenge 3: I know we all tend to focus on the scale and pounds we lose/gain, how about celebrating some non-scale victories aka NSV. We often put so much thought and time into that darn scale and forget to celebrate the little things. So, feel free to post your NSV this week, you may inspire many others and make them think what all they have done that doesn't include the scale.
And of course, a little meditation/'me' time is always recommended weekly

Since we are “Team H20”, April has decided to do a small fun contest.. She wants you to come up with a unique design, on our water bottles of course.. And she wants us to take a picture of our design, and post the picture. We will post our pictures next week .. So start thinking of a design and drawing it up.. The winner of the little Contest will get a little something in the mail.. Provided you’re willing to give put your address.. Haha.. Just something a little fun this time around, no one has to participate if they do not wish to.
We would also all like to invite anyone who would love to join in on this challenge. Its never too late to join!!! Just post your starting weight from either the day you join or look back 3 weeks ago. We are ALL here to support YOU! Join in on all the fun, we do new challenges weekly..

Week 4?! How are we already so far into this challenge!
I'm excited...just signed up for my first 5K! It is at Knott's Berry Farm (America's 1st theme park!) and benefits the Speech and Language Development Center. It sounds like a really fun race - it winds through the park, past all of the coasters and attractions, and at the end you get a piece of famous Knott's boysenberry pie. Don't know how much I'm going to want that pie after I've just run over 3 miles, but it is a nice gesture.

First off, Bru, thanks for helping out April again this week. April, I really hope you start to feel better soon. Not feeling 100% is the pits. *hugs*
I'm not sure if I can really up my water intake - I drink a ton of it already. I do no less than 12 cups per day. I already get up once during the night to go to the bathroom because of it. LOL I'll do one more cup for the challenge though.
As far as NSV, I have gone down in inches. I don't have the exact numbers in front of me right now but I know for sure I lost over an inch off my waist. Woohoo!!

I'm having a killer time over here.. hubbys' back is better and my tooth is beyond aching. Throbbing throughout my whole mouth and I'm not on Nick's insurance yet. I really hope we catch a some break long ebough for me to take care of this tooth. NOthing I take is helping which means it's infected like the other one they had to cut out a while back. Ow, ow ow. I'm miserable and I so tired. I can't sleep either. If it doesn't subside soon, I don't know what we're gonna do. Sorry for the mini vent, but I needed to.0

Starting weight for challenge: 177.0 lbs.
Ending weight for week 1: 171.2 lbs (5.8 lbs lost due to illness) but some of this came back throughout the week
Ending weight for week 2: 171.2 lbs (0 lbs lost) but this time it's REAL weight loss
Ending weight for week 3: 170.6 lbs (0.6 lbs lost) fine by me! Only .7 lbs to go by Valentines Day!

I gained this week for some reason. +1.6. It might be cause its that time again. TOM. Hoping for a better week and a loss next week.
I am really going to work on my water intake. I have been only getting in about 32 oz a day or less. I need to up that majorly.
Workout is still on Insanity.
My NSV is I measured last night and I have lost a total of 3.75 inches in 2 weeks.
Still working on Meditation but I did get the podcasts downloading just need to get them to my mp3 player once I find a usb cord.
Im really hoping I lose that 1.6 lbs soon. I now have 5 lbs to go cause of the gain.

Well, I started at 237.8 and as of this morning I am down to 236.4. So that's 1.4 lb loss. I am actually really happy with that since in between I gained about 2 lbs. Thanks for that TOM. I am determined to stay off the scale until Friday this week, I have upped my workouts to 5-6 days a week, and I have revamped my diet so hopefully I will see some good numbers!
For the challenges:
Challenge 1: I think this was a major contributer to my non-loss last week. I really have to pay attention to this, I did so well for so long! I have a 38-oz water bottle that I am determined to drink twice daily.
Challenge 2: I actually had the same thought! This morning I did mainly toning instead of straight cardio. I can totally do 2 more days of it! I'm hoping on toning days that it is still nice enough to get out for a walk or jog. Today it was way too windy, I tried to go run but it was impossible to breathe. Boo.
Challenge 3: NSVs....Well I pulled out that pair of size 18 jeans last week and have been wearing them like a trophy. They are HUGE! They may be the world's biggest 18s, but I'll take it. I'll keep looking for these and post them as they come. I like NSVs, they are very motivating!
Me time: Today I told Hubs he is watching the kids for an hour, I am going upstairs and doing a full home spa treatment. Long, hot, scented bath with candles and coffee, oil rub down, self pedi, and I'm actually going to do my hair. WOW!!

Thanks again for an awesome week of challenges!! Last week was horrible!! I lost weight and kept my eating in check but didn't exercise once. I'm having a very hard time motivating myself in -20 degrees weather. I have no energy!!
On a good note I'm one and a bit lbs from the 7! woohoo. 160.2.
water I'm good, I get my 8 in and often don't record any after that!!
still meditating at night before I go to bed.
I'm gonna kill myself to get off my butt and do some toning stuff and back to my running!!
NSV have tightened my belt loops a couple of notches and people are beginning to notice I' ve lost some weight. feels good.

My non scale victories so far: having my size 20 wedding dress practically fall off of me!! Wearing and zipping up a size 12 dress(not too comfy though, but soon!)
Hoping to get into those jeans from our Christmas challenge..my butt is still a bit too big, lol!
Well, after a weekend of horrible tooth/mouth pains, throbbing and stabbong feelings, ugh, it was HORRIBLE.. I called the dentist and got my appt in this morning. Had to have Nick's mom take me in (which was actually GREAT!) and my tooth is infected. I am on amoxicillin and hydrocodin and I have to have oral surgery to have 2 teeth cut out in about 10 days. Problem was, I was never put on Nick's insurance, so I was really worried about the cost of everything. Luckily the dentist is a distant relative of Nicks and will just bill us later on. Well, when Nick's mom heard I wasn't covered, she took me to the union hall and had the secretary (the whole family is good friends with the hall, thank goodness!) call in and add me to medical/dental and prescrip. Well, problem was I needed the pills like, a week ago, and with Nick being out of work for a week it was looking bad. So, we went to Walgreens and gave them all the info...my 'scrips cost $3.54!! TOTAL!! The insurance literally covered me *snap* like that! THANK GOODNESS! My oral suregery last time for one tooth was $300...so hopefully it's only half or so.
My food yesterday was crap..yogurt, peanut butter, milk... now that I have pain pills, I can eat a little more.. I want a cheeseburger soooo bad though..not chancing that til after my surgery though.

That's horrible!!! I'm sorry about your pain. It might help to gargle with warm salt water a few times a day. It will draw out the infection. I feel so bAd for you it's such a hard pain to tolerate. I hope it gets better soon0 -

Okay, here goes...my start weight earlier in January was 162 lbs. I am now 156 lbs. So I am making some progress :-)
the challenges...
1) 4 cups of water has been my max. More and I am making trips to the bathroom every hour. I don't know how to increase my water intake more without driving myself crazy with bathroom breaks.
2) what are good toning exercises? I've tried some yoga, some pilates...my trouble is I have bilateral carpal's tunnel and getting up and down off the floor and putting pressure on my wrists is really painful. so I have been more inclined towards cardio.
3) I got these very nice almost new professional clothes when I was 155 last spring a year ago. At 162 they were not fitting very well. Today at 156 I notice they are fitting much much better and it lifted my mood all day.
4) Me time...my 2nd hour today at the gym was me time--my water blast class. I have not been able to do pool time while recovering from an ear and throat illness a couple weeks and going back to the pool finally felt SO GOOD! I really relaxed and enjoyed the class!

Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better April, and Pinky, I hope it passes you quickly.
It's been almost a full day since having pain meds..not really helping much...so if it continues tomorrow, I'm calling for something stronger. I just want this infection to hit the road so they can take these darn teeth..from what I heard, it sounds like my wisdom teeth are behind both of them, so I won't be without teeth back there for too long, but still.
I attempted to exercise briefly yesterday, but it was for long nor that much effort, I may try some pilates or yoga today to help focus myself on something other than the pain. I was crazy thirsty yesterday, by 4p, I already had 96oz of water (which is what I normally hae for a full day) and filled up my bottle for another 24oz.. It was long gone by 7p, but I didn't want to over due it anymore as too much of a good thing can be bad.
Hope you all are having a good day, besides, it's almost the weekend (already..wth, it's going way too quickly!).0
