Soooo... my hubby is from WI and is SUPER excited about the Super Bowl. EXTREME Packers fan. I want to make some fun football food for the game, but don't want to totally blow my calorie goal!! Any ideas on some fun party food? I realllly want to make cheese dip, so I need some ideas so that I don't make that and eat the whole thing!

Suggestions puhlease!!

Make salsa. It's lowfat and tasty. Sprinkle some cheese on it, low fat of course, and you get your cheesiness.

A snack I really like are zucchini boats.

You take some lean ground turkey and cook it up
Take a zucchini and cut it length-wise and then in half.
Add some spaghetti sauce, the turkey a bit of cheese and pop them in the oven.

They are really yummy and good for you.

    Enjoy!

p.s. my hubby is a Packers fan, too.

    A few ideas:
California Pizza Kitchen thin crust pizza...BBQ Chicken is just 300 cals for 1/3 of a pizza or homemade flat bread or tortilla pizza
Baked chips, mini rice cakes (cheddar and caramel are both good)
    a variety of veggies
    sliced apples and oranges
limiting portions is the biggest thing

I'm looking forward to seeing others ideas. We're having teenagers over for the party so I'm sure there will be a lot of junk. If I don't have tasty alternatives I'll get myself in trouble!
  • Good ideas! I might make some pita bread pizza. I've never made it before and is worth a try!! Any more ideas? I am such a picky person :P

I'm making a super fiber-rich chili with extra lean hamburger for tonight's SP party. This will be the first thing I eat; it will fill me up and help to avoid some of the other goodies.
