I just joined after I ate supper so tomorrow "here we go!!" I am excited to turn over a new leaf in 2011. Each year it seems the weight goes up a little more. After fighting breast cancer while planning our wedding at the age of 28 a short 5 years ago, followed by two troublesome pregnancies with ordered bed rest on both, I want to have the energy again to keep up with my two darling little 4 and 2 year old little fellas. God has blessed me over and over again. Now it is time for me to work a little harder to improve myself inside and out! Hello fitness pals!!

Welcome and so glad to hear that you've conquered the cancer and have a couple of wonderful babies. I too was on bed rest and it bit the big one, but the girls turned out healthy and that was the goal.
You can do whatever you set your mind too. You go girl.0 -
yay you! that's amazing. Congratulations on your accomplishments and I know you can do this
piece of cake compared to what you've been through! Just dedication and repetition. In no time you'll see results. Or at least that's what I hear a lot about, and what I've seen in my own life in just the past 2 months. Love your message.

I was rear ended in two car accidents eight months apart. I was the passenger in both cars, go figure. Then my life was turned upside down. I was in terrible shape mentally & physically. I went back & forth to Dr for three years. Finally a surgeon decided I was a candidate for back surgery. I had back surgery 18 months ago & just getting to feel like I can exercise some & not hurt myself. I was on lots of medications for my back pain and weighed 163 lbs at 5 foot tall. I was feeling horrible about myself I didn't want to look in the mirror, did't wear makeup & really did't care about anything.
My Mother got sick in the meantime so my sister & I would take turns helping take care of her. Did I meantion that they lived an hour from my house. So I had to drive an hour one way there & back. I stayed several days at a time because I couldn't drive for a while because I was having seizures for a so I had to ask my family for a ride. I finally was able to drive myself which was a great relief to me. I'm very independent so I hated to ask for help. I helped with my Mother for eight months, then she passed away last November. I wouldn't have changed the time we had together for anything in the world. I now weigh 134 1/2 lbs by watching what I eat & I'm only on two medications, neither of them for my back.
I started exercising with Slim in Six three weeks ago. I started at two minutes and now I'm at seven minutes. Thanks for listening.0
