I love this show too..and the movie was good, but Pierce Bronson can NOT sing!! Ugh! I felt embarrased FOR him every time he had a song. Other than that, I really liked it.

Ohmigosh will you come with me and Ali to see it then? lol...I know my boyfriend will not want to sit through it again...the only reason he sat through it the first time was because it was our first date and he wanted to seem "sensitive" lol...I asked him if he remembered any of it today...and he said he remembers the "dot dot dot"...that happened in the first 30 seconds of the movie! LOL!

Is it kid safe? My dd LOVES abba.

I thought it was a cutesy movie that was just kind of fun and cute, but of course the premise is that a woman slept with three men and doesn't know the father of her daughter, who is getting married and wants her father to be at her wedding. For the most part I think it is pretty kid safe...but I don't know the official rating of the movie, and I don't have kids, so I wasn't watching it for whether or not kids could watch it...there weren't any kids there when Jammie and I saw it (we were the only two people in the theater), but it was a late show in a small town so that doesn't say much lol...hopefully some others who have kids will chime in and let you know if it's really kid safe

Thanks Greysweatshirt guy. Would you personally let a ten year old daughter or relative see it?

My dd is sensitive and creative (and a budding actress-y-type to offset my science-y self.) If there is only a brief, discrete scene she'd probably close her eyes through it (without prompting).

    Thanks.

If I remember right, there isn't anything obvious..there more innuendo (sp?) than anything else. If she's ten, some of it may go over her head. The music is really great and it's a lot of fun!

Many thanks.:flowerforyou: I'll take her to see it when I get a chance...perhaps it will be at the $3 theater by then!

edit to add: She probably knows all of the songs by heart.
She is also a big fan of Elton John and demanded to go to sleep to his love songs every night for more than a year. As a preschooler her compliment to the music teacher was "you sing like Elton John."

I LISTEN TO THIS SOUNDTRACK ALL THE TIME!!!
    I  Mamma Mia!!!

I sent the soundtrack to my bestie.
She prompted iPod'ed it and listened to it at the gym.
I almost fell outta my chair laughing when she told me that
SHE IMAGINED THE WHOLE GYM BREAKING OUT IN SONG AND DANCE LIKE IN THE MOVIE WHILE SHE WAS ON THE TREADMILL!!

How fun is that?!?! I love it!!
