Looking at your diary, I can say without a doubt you are not eating NEARLY enough protein, and your calorie intake overall is too low. Try shooting for eating about 1,500 calories a day, and don't let yourself go under. Break it up in to 5 meals, and eat when you get up, then every three hours after that.
A good rule of thumb is to eat in grams as much protein as you want to weigh in pounds. So you should be eating about 130 grams of protein a day... so like 26 grams per meal at 5 meals a day.
Do this for 2 weeks and you'll see HUGE results.
I highly recommend you read Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle, which teaches you SO much about stoking your metabolism.0 -
Hi Nicole,
Are you recording your exercise? How much weight/week loss have you programmed into your MFP?
I see that you're usually not even getting up to 1200 calories/day. It's very possible that your body is doing what it does best: surviving. It reads this situation as famine, and is probably clinging desperately to every ounce.
Counterintuitively, you need to eat enough before you can really lose weight. Are you feeling a little tired? Your body may be shutting down "non-critical" systems until it sees that it can relax because you're eating enough calories.
I suggest you eat several times a day, eat ALL your calories every day, including your exercise calories. Set your goal a tiny bit lower, if you're trying to lose 2 pounds a week or more.
Good luck!

Hi Nicole,
I agree with sblowes, from what I see you are not eating enough calories. It's not about eating under your calories. You need to eat at least your minimum. If its 1200, than you need to really try and eat that many. If you need a little more, your exersice can supplement that. You should not be afraid to eat. Your body needs more protien (peanut butter isn't enough). You need to add some real protien to your diet, lean protien is great - chicken, fish, turkey. Also some whole grains. Fruit and veges are great, but you need a little more. I do not deprive myself. You cannot live life continually saying to yourself "Oh, I can't eat that". It just doesn't work that way. If you continue to eat under, your body will go into starvation mode and anything you eat will be stored as fat. It's ok to eat, just in moderation. Don't forget to drink and record your water too. It helps to flush your system and keep you hydrated. You can do this! Good Luck and if you need some support and a friend - I'm here!!! :happy:0
