Hello ! Name's Simon ,26 years old , first time posting.
I wasn't sure were to put this since it's my first post but at the same time I am kinda making it for the exposure and how it gets you to commit more(thus the support). This post will be updated with my progress, which I went half way there last year (hoping this post gets transferred at the end to the Success Stories board )
So,Background info : Long time chubby boy, learned to deal with it after a bit, had a couple attempts at dieting that failed. Thought I wasn't methodical enough ,though little did I know that its more about how much you want it , than doing it 100% properly.
The game-changing triggers were a potential relationship that I lost due to my own lack of confidence ,coupled with the fact that it landed right on the summer vacation period ,which I never fully enjoyed after 15-16 years old after having developed issues with my image.
"This is the last summer I'm afraid to enjoy the beach" .
Now I know that I am quite lazy , but my will is iron and having done my studying I determined that since 80% of it lies in what you eat, I may not run miles like people do ,but I was going to count every last calorie.
"-1200 calories? 1000 deficit? Bro you will lose the little muscle you have earned by going on and off gym memberships along with the fat!"
Let's talk business.
Lift with my body and soul to compensate where calorie deficit didn't make growing easy? CHECK
Combine Intermittent fasting with low carb diet and "I want it now" mentality? CHECK
Resulting in a 24 pound change in 2 months.
Was it unhealty to lose it so fast? possibly
Could it result on putting them on back and more? very likely
Did it test my mental limits? Definitely
Edit:damn image scaling

So I focused on maintaining. For almost a year i took a deep breath, put on a like 2-3 pounds and lost em back again and after a year of proving I could incorporate some habits and make them a way of life and not just a diet, I 'm back for part two.
Cause people see transformations and they WANT to see ABS!! Hell , I want to see abs too! Not because I want to play Frisbee in front of the ladies ,or to compensate for a lacking personality ,but because I want to prove to myself that I can and perhaps even become a part of all those stories that people stumble upon when they want to see if it can be done
I will post nutritional and workout highlights and progress photos as we go for the next 2-3-4 or how many months it takes to get shredded !
P.S :What a rant! Also , not my native language sooo.... Thanks for reading through it all and LETS DO THIS!0 -
Hey , welcome! You go get those abs ,lol Great progress, seems you will be needing new swim shorts soon!0

Simon great job man, but remember this is not a sprint or even a race. Being healthy is a choice we make and a lifestyle we live. When you get those abs and lose them in a few months you will feel worse then you do now. Please do not starve yourself, be calorie deficient but never be starving, if you are you're not healthy even if you hit that idea weight. Find what works for you man, and don't give up.
Take a second and read this, http://www.nerdfitness.com/iron-and-soul/ Henry Rollins has been a great inspiration and has a healthy outlook on fitness.0 -
Thank you both. Waxy ,yeah man , after I got the really extra pounds out of the way last year , now that I m doing part 2 I didn't mean I m doing the same thing I 'm going slowly with a minor deficit , so I make it a long term change and also have enough fuel to go through the Starting Strength program that I 'm starting .
Great article , I had seen that last paragraph before, the iron is indeed the best antidepressant.0
