Researching any symptoms on the Internet is a bad idea. I've done it so many times before, and it turns me into a complete hypochondriac. You look up nausea and suddenly you're convinced you have a life threatening illness. So, my advice to you would be to see a doctor if it continues for more than a week or so.0

You're going to have to make time to see a Dr - that is the reality.
Good luck!
This...all day this...
Sorry, but yes. You need to seek a medical professional, either a primary care, a specialist, or if you don't have time during the day go to the ER. You are probably going to need to see an allergist and get allergy testing.
^^^ this, this and this. No time for a doctor eh, good luck with that.0 -
Try gluten free pasta - even Barilla makes one now - to rule out a gluten allergy. It's possible if it's pasta and fruit and you always have tomato sauce that it could be the tomato and fruit, i.e. some kind of fruit allergy. My husband is allergic to several fruits.0

Please go see your doctor sooner than later.0

Oh my, hope you resolve this problem. Good luck.0

See a doctor before doing any type of elimination diet. If you do have celiacs disease, not eating gluten for any length of time will affect a blood test and it could show up negative.
There is a type of celiacs that also has a type of rash.
If it's not celiacs then a doctor can also do some allergy testing to find out if it is a food allergy.0 -
Your path ought to be to a doctor. Other then hives, are you pregnant?0

Unless you are having an anaphylactic reaction or the nausea turns to vomiting and dehydration, just chill til you can get to a doctor in the next week or so. Stress can cause any and all of those reactions. Log your food diligently and use your food diary notes to record meal time and symptom times and you will have a lovely record to show your physcian when you get there. If you do have a medical problem, that information will be valuable when starting to look for a diagnosis.0

No offense, but the whole "I dont have time" bit is just an excuse. You've got time to research, time to support all your friends on here, time to make forum posts. In all that time, you could've picked up the phone and made a Dr's appt. We make time for the things that matter to us.0

If you do continue eating this, keep benadryl handy as a first response. I have allergies and ended up in the hospital on benadryl intravenous drip twice. Please don't take reactions lightly! Try to see a doctor.0

How about just cutting out the foods you think are causing it (and see a doc) . If its an allergy cutting will help you identify what it is I would seriously see a doc though because I would want to know what has triggered/causing it
Good luck0 -
Sounds like going to the DR is something you need to make time for.0

Did you change the brand of pasta you are using? Maybe there is some kind of additive that is bothering you. It seems strange that if wheat products never bothered you in the past they are giving you such a pronounced reaction all of the sudden. Do other wheat products bother you or just pasta?0

Actual gluten allergies are quite rare, so I second the vote that it might be something in that particular brand of pasta or the sauce you're using on it. But definitely...it's not bad to try to narrow it down on your own, but see a doctor or six.0

Sounds like a food allergy and you need to find out what it is. If you keep eating it your subsequent reactions could get worse, meaning not just hives but shortness of breath, difficulty swallowing, facial or tongue swelling, throat tightening and possible anaphylactic shock.
Be serious. Go to the doctor.0 -
Hi Sharon, the breaking out in hives recently happened to my 25 year old daughter. It turns out she developed a Wheat Allergy, after much nagging on my part, she went to a dermatologist and he gave her a cream to put on the hives when she gets them. Feel free to add me as a friend. And good luck to you0

Gluten allergy doesn't explain why fruit is bothering you, however getting tested for many food allergies is your best bet. Get checked for ulcers, and IBS. If you get tested for celiac disease do not remove anything from your diet because in order for the test to be successful you need to have glutens in your system. I thought I had a gluten issue but turns out i just have digestive issues, always have and therefore I have just learned to listen to my body and have a careful diet.
There are many reasons why foods can upset your system and your doctor is most definitely your first stop. Good luck!!0 -
Unless you are in distress (temperature, shortness of breath, joint pain, wheezing), the doctor is going to tell you to keep a log, eliminate the suspects and then see if it improves. You can do that yourself without seeing an allergist. If you cannot determine what makes it worse or better, you will be referred to an allergist to test for specifics. Doc would probably also recommend an antihistamine for the immediate symptoms.
obviously if you have any shortness of breath, lightheadedness, go to the ER or urgent care asap0 -
