UGH WTH

So i've been changing my lifestyle for the better since June. Started with doing Just Dance in the morning for 20-25 minutes, and now for the last 1.5 months I've added in 30 minutes at the gym in the PM as well.

I am eating between 1700-2000 calories a day, and consistently logging my food and am aware of what is going into my body. I started at 251 and lost until 236 and am now steadily gaining for the last 4 weeks. I've been working my butt of at the gym, and I am now super frustrated.

I weighed myself 10 days ago and I had gained .8 kg and then weighed myself today and have gained .6kg. I am using the WII fit thing.

When I weigh myself at the gym, in the PM, it says I am 241 - 242 lbs... but WII says I am around 244-245 in the AM. Now I know I should weigh less in the AM than PM.

What am I doing wrong? SHould I go the doctor and get anything checked? I did my measurements and I have gained .5 inches on my neck, waist and hips.

This is very frustrating as I am ready for the change and I seem to be working towards it, but all this work isnt paying off. I FEEL better, but I dont LOOK better.

The roommate has been losing weigh with me, and each time she weighs she's lost and we are basically doing the same thing

As to the different scales - could be a matter of apples & oranges. They're calibrated differently. Only way to know is to get on one then the other immediately and that isn't possible. The only sane thing to do is pick one, go by it. The goal is weight change over time so as long as you're consistent w/ your methods you should be fine.

You're female according to your profile. Could be TOM/hormones leading to water weight. If you're sure everything else is fine, give it another 3-4 weeks and compare.

Yes, you should see a doctor when beginning a we it loss journey. He can make sure nothing is wrong, give you a target weight and daily calorie estimate, tell you what kind of foods you should and shouldn't be eating, tell you what (if any) exercise restrictions you have and will be able to follow your progress as you go.

Everyone should see the doctor for a physical every year, anyway.

Scales fluctuate. Different scales are almost always different. You weigh different amounts during the day, but it isn't always up. Sometimes I go down (especially at period time or if constipation was suddenly relieved.) Try not to flip out about scale fluctuations. Stick to ONE scale and weigh at the same time, wearing the same thing, every day. That'll give you the best idea.

    Good luck! :)

Are you weighing absolutely all of your food and logging it?

Have you readjusted your calorie targets as you have been losing weight? Your body will need less calories the more pounds you lose.

Do you weight yourself before or after your morning poop?

I figured out my TDEE and have MFP set to 1.5lbs a week.

Went out and bought a scale last night, weighed after dinner was 244. This morning was 240 - which what the gym scale says. I normally weigh in the morning, after working out.

I will probably see a doctor to see if it might be a health problem. :)

The food scale will help with accuracy. So use that for a month. But can you open your food diary? We can probably provide some suggestions. And do you have any medical conditions?

Could be water retention from the extra exercising.

UNLOCKED. Besides being fat no other medical conditions that I am aware of that could be contributing to this... some meals i've missed adding, however I am trying to input everything I eat.
