  • Yes you can shed 5kgs in a month, eat healthy and be active in the gym and the kilos will melt off

Per your profile, you are looking to lose 35lbs, so no, 5kg (11lbs) in a month may not be doable...or ideal if you want to minimize muscle mass loss. Unless you go the route of focusing on short term methods to lose more water weight and glycogen depletion just for a scale # loss (for some reason) but you'll end up with some or most of it back on when you eat normally.

If you have 75+ lbs to lose 2 lbs/week is ideal
If you have 40-75 lbs to lose 1.5 lbs/week is ideal
If you have 25-40 lbs to lose 1 lbs/week is ideal
If you have 15 -25 lbs to lose 0.5 to 1.0 lbs/week is ideal
If you have less than 15 lbs to lose 0.5 lbs/week is ideal

So you are more looking around a 1lb/week loss...I'd say roughly 3-6lbs/month depending on how well you stick to your deficit.

Depends what you intend to do but the recommended reasoanle safe max is 2lb a week. 11lb is doable, but its at the top end and you will either be exercising or creating a large deficit.
