Migraines and not hungry

I woke up this morning with a horrible migraine and I think it's allergy-related. I'm allergic to ragweed and it's that time of the year! Ugh! When I get these headaches, all I want to do is take my Rx and lie in bed. The med. makes me thirsty, so I have water, but I'm not hungry. I know I should eat and I don't want to mess up my metabolism. All I've had today is a Luna Bar. I don't want to eat all of my calories in the next 5 hrs. because I don't want to stuff myself.

Any suggestions?

You're not going to 'mess up your metabolism' because you have a day in bed with a migraine and don't eat anything.

Awh man I know these days all to well.
I found that Aleve Cold and Sinus + D works wonders for me, along with a cold compress.

As far as the lack of hunger, I totally hear you.
While it's hard to eat, I've found that I can get down more 'bland' foods as they don't cause a lot of issue.
I would suggest something along the lines of tuna fish and maybe some crackers or toast, it may be low calorie but at least there's some protein in there.

The one thing that I warn against is that not eating may lead to a 'hunger' headache on top of the migraine.

I have used Excedrin migraine and it can be hit or miss. I definitely need to take it with food or I get stomach upset.

Jpapp, when do you take these meds? I have to be careful with decongestants because they will keep me up at night. If I can get on a preventative regimen, I think this would help a lot.
