Looking for Support and Accountability

I've never used a community blog website before, but venture here in hopes of finding a weightloss and nutrition buddy. Not sure if I should be looking for members as new as me or veterans who know their way around MFP. In the end, I just need help with will power and accountability. Someone(s) familiar with MFP would be great, too, in terms of tips and tricks so I can get the most out of the MFP website. For example, is there a way to get notificaitons when someone sends me a message?

I am a 44 year old female with 50 pounds to lose. I've yo-yo'd quite a bit the last 15 years and must admit I've been more committed and successful with weight loss efforts in the past that I feel today, but hoping this is a start and hoping that getting involved with a larger group will make the process less lonely (my family isn't really in need of weighloss like I am). Hard getting back on the horse knowing how hard I worked last time and have gained all but 10 pounds back.

I am starting tomorrow with diet, exercise and by body bugg (once I get it dusted off). I love the accountability it creates, but it just doesn't talk back to me.

I feel like I should also mention how much I love watching football and snuggling and watching movies in cold weather. Wondering if I should even be trying at this time of year, but also tired of feeling tired. Suggestions that are football weekend specific would be welcomed!

Feel free to add me. I've used MFP for years. Retired early June and gained about 10 pounds - stopped using MFP. About a month ago I started again and have lost 5.5 lb in 4 weeks - now 14 to lose to get back to goal weight.

I would like friends and accountability and support also.

    Good luck!
