What's up with my scale?

I weighed myself a little bit ago and it said 102.8. I step on it again and it says 102.8. Again 102.4. I stepped on it a bunch and it gave me numbers in that range, then suddenly it said 107.8. Then back to 102.8.
Why did the number suddenly jump up? Do I really weigh 107 and it's been wrong every time, or is it just a normal screw up. I don't think there's been a big difference in the way I stood on it. The only difference I can think of is that I had my hands on my face when it said 107 instead of at my sides.

    I don't know if it is like mine but my scale isn't real accurate. If I move it I get different readings. It is within 5 lbs

    BC;

    Change the batteries, or,
    try standing on one foot with your left index finger in your right ear with eyes closed (KIDDING, just kidding)

    Depending on the scale it "may" have a re calibrate function and be sure it's on a hard, flat, surface.

    I used to deal with that with my old one, so I bought a relativity cheap weight watchers brand one at Target and as long as I'm on a hard floor my weight is accurate (weighed myself right before doc appointment) and consistent. Your scale is screwy but probably not in a predictable way! Replace it.

    I can't have a scale that does that .... it would make me crazy. I bought a good Tanita scale that I have had for years now and no matter how many times I get on and off of it it reads hte same (and trust me I have tried)

    I would make sure you aren't touch a wall and are standing still, replace the batteries... and if not get a new one.
  • is your scale level, keep it on hard floor, No carpet., and remember your body weight fluxes between 1-2lbs a day

    Here you are again and have dropped what another 6 pounds in two weeks. I'm going to assume you haven't gotten help yet with your eating disorder since ALL of your posts seem to tell us either your weight or measurements.
    I'm very sad for you and thought you had sought therapy.

    Would you please explain why you continue to start threads discussing these low weights?

    I have sought therapy and I went to an appointment last week. I got worse and ate less than usual recently, but I'm bringing it back up to a normal amount, so that's why I may have dropped weight.
    However, I'm not sure if I've lost weight or stayed the same. Which weight should I go by? 102 or 107?

    Ask the therapist.

    What did they tell you?
