Your "Energy" Song

It's close to the end of your workout, you are exhausted with 5 minutes left. You want to quit but then you play this one song that gives you the energy you didn't thing you have.

Currently, my #1 is Wizard - Martin Garrix

What is yours?

It's an old one but it's got awesome beat and I love working out to the fast rhythm.

I've got dozens, but my current fav is:

    Sepultura - Refuse/Resist

(The opening drums are crushingly powerful, and overall its really angry and rough but I particularly like the last verse... reminds me to never accept defeat...)

    silent with doubt
    stand on your feet
    inner fear
    your worst enemy

    Refuse!! Resist!!

    I've got a few:

Skrillex - Dirty Vibe (feat G-Dragon and CL)
    Miley Cyrus- We Can't Stop
    Katy Perry - Dark Horse
Beyoncé and Nicki Minaj - ***Flawless remix
    Rihanna - We Found Love

There's probably more, but that's all I can think of at the moment!

I guess I am an 80s child through and through ... my go to favorites are Footloose, Eye of the Tiger, Wake Me Up before You Go Go, Neutron Dance, Beat It, Walking on Sunshine ... I could go on and on and they would mostly be 80s music!
  • Cola Bottle Baby! Old Disco song but I know it from a Daft Punk song that sampled it :)

I'm not a runner, but my husband has to run for work his favorites are "She is Beautiful" Andrew WK , "Tom Sawyer" by Rush, "Johnny B Goode" by Chuck Berry and a few others. He recommends Jog.fm for good running songs searchable by pace or beats per minute.

My last kickboxing class a reggaeton song came on and I started kicking like crazy and it was close to the end of the class so I can definitely see it :) I need to add a few more of those songs to my play list.
  • I like the angry types to work out with a mean force to push me thru it.

Limp Bizkit's "Take a look around".."My Generation" "Boiler" "Hot Dog"..a;; have the forceful vibe that get's me thru

Any song where, if I am sitting at my desk working and I hear it, I can't help from dancing a little in my seat, I add that to my workout list. I love stuff from the 70s and 80s. The soundtrack to the new Guardians of the Galaxy movie has some gems on it.

Took a listen. Sometimes you need that aggressiveness to get over the hill.
