Eating a lot

To anyone who can answer this. I eat a lot of food but don't put any of it on. My question though is why do I eat a lot when I have just eaten. Then when I'm full I usually eat a ridiculous amount of food by eating about 3-4 times what a usual person will eat.

I would say what you're eating plays a large part.

Personally, I am a "boredom" eater. When I measure and log the food, I realize how much more I am eating than what I need. I also like to record things before I eat them, to see what would be the "better" (re: healthier or more filling) option. I still have a lot of weigt to lose, but I can already see an improvement in my food choices and sizes. I hope you can quickly find your niche.
  • Sometimes I find that it can become and addiction. I used to do the same especially when I was bored, emotional or depressed. Watching tv or movies was a big eating time for me. It is really hard to get out of the habit. Sometimes just having a good support system is helpful, like when you know that you just finished a meal and you feel like eating again, talk to someone to help you through it. For me I made my food diary public, that way I feel more motivated to eat healthy because I know other can see what I am eating. Also I think you need to have the drive to actually add what you are eating on to the diary, even if you don't like your day, adding it may motivate you to not do the same the next day. It does for me anyway.

Losing weight is a struggle and takes a lot of will power. Starting out it is way more difficult to break these habits, but the further you move away from the behaviours the easier it gets. You can always add me as a friend. I am always on here and can always help with support, motivation and advice if needed. (That goes for anyone else too).

It could be that your hunger signals are just out of whack if you've been overeating for a while.

It could be that you aren't getting enough protein, fat, or fiber to keep you full.

It could be that you aren't drinking enough fluids and your body is confusing thirst and hunger.

It could be that you aren't sleeping enough and your body is confusing exhaustion for hunger.

    It could be psychological.

There are lots of reasons that people overeat. Unfortunately, that means no one can figure it out for you. You'll have to figure out why you're eating and take the steps necessary to correct it. It sounds silly, but next time you're eating try and pay attention to what you're feeling while you eat. Are you actually hungry? Bored? Upset? Tired? If you can figure out why you overeat you can start to work on stopping it.
  • I have recently gone onto a diet which mainly consists of vegetables and the occasional snack but overall am eating really well. I think that I'm eating a lot and is always hungry because of before the diet where what I ate was more fulfilling than veggies and stock. As well I believe that this is the case is because I did at a lot more than a normal person would. Would this be the reason why do you recon?

    That sound right

How much protein and fat are you eating. Vegetables are an important part of a healthy diet, but if you are not getting enough protein and fat that is likely why you feel full but not satisfied. Your body needs protein and fat.

You need to go on a mini bulkcut intermittent fast you fast from 6am-615am then eat from 6:16am-6:15pm then fast until 6am...Make sure you keep your carbs at around 70% and you prottein and fat macros around 60%-70% :)
