We are pleased to announce that on March 4, 2025, an updated Rich Text Editor will be introduced in the MyFitnessPal Community. To learn more about the upcoming changes, please click here. We look forward to sharing this new feature with you!

I thought i would share this from my status update.

I never really used the tools on this sight, I found out last night you can enter a url for a recipe and MFP will do all the calorie calculations. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/recipe/box since it was new to me and a lot of my friends.

I've been using it since I found the website. I had been using the app for a few months before I realized that the webiste had so much more to offer. It can be a bit of work as it needs tweaking but love using it.

Eh, any time I've tried it came up with a mess of words and not an actual recipe

When it works it's a great tool. I thought it was just my computer it didn't always work on, Good to know I am not alone. Also I just found that many of the recipes I use weekly are already entered, If I just know where to look. The more I wander on this site, the more I learn!

Oh that's helpful! I'd been using another tool to do that, but this looks better. Hope I do manage to get it to work :/

I get most of my recipes from food blogs. Those do not import well at all. Or at all, at all. I still have to manually enter recipes the old way - which is fine really since I'm pretty fast at it anymore.

It is a handy tool. Now if my brain only had a URL, because that's where all my recipes are kept.

True story... the only time I can get it to work is if I'm on my home computer with Windows 8.1 and the latest IE... otherwise it don't work.

I did that last night for the first time ever. Pretty slick, I was surprised it worked though.
