too much fruit?!

Hi everyone!
This is my first post, although I have been reading peoples on here for ages! I basically need advice, I'm trying to lose around 12lbs to get to my goal weight.. I eat A LOT of fruit and this tends to take me over on my allowed sugar intake but not over on my calories, I wondered if this is going to cause me to not lose weight? I've currently got a knee issue so have been advised not to exercise which is also a little stressful as I love running, and now I'm getting paranoid about gaining weight back rather than losing!
Any advice?
Thanks :)

I'm over my sugar allotment every day. I track fiber in its place as I don't have a medical condition that requires me to monitor it.

Calories in vs out for weight loss.

Macros and micronutrient goals for health.

No one macro is micro will stop weight loss.

I would try to increase your vegetables - leafy greens, beans, fibrous vegetables such as eggplant, squash, zucchini, and carrots. That should help if you decide to reduce your fruit intake.

I am trying this myself, although I just started a few weeks ago so I can't preach any results.

Unless you have a medical issue sugar is not an issue. MFPs goal is set too low anyway. Don't let it stop you eating fruit

i eat more vegetables than fruit usually each day and i'm nearly over my sugar. if it's just natural sugars i really wouldn't mind it if it's coming from fruit/vegetables. like someone else said, if you're within your daily calories you should be fine! fruit is good for you, don't let the amount mfp gives you stress you out about it and deter you from it. :flowerforyou:

This is a great question. I don't have the answer but I am interested in the opinions of others. I also hear the advice to get my sugar down to zero... but I like eating fruits and veggies that contain natural sugars like blue berries and sweet potatoes.

Whoever gave you that advice needs to stop giving advice.
