Gotta love nurse's recommendations....
Went to the doctor on Monday cause I passed out that morning in shower. I have had low glucose for as long as I can remember so this isn't new to me. Anyway, had a blood panel ran and just received those in the mail. The blood panel showed I have elevated lipids (runs in the family) and low glucose. No shockers on either of those. Anyway, the funny part was at the end. The nurse wrote in the comment section to begin a 1500 calorie per day diet of fish, chicken, fruits and veggies. I have never even met the person who wrote those comments. I just don't get how they can make blanket suggestions like that. Really irks me. I'm 6'0, 173lbs, and (guesstimate) 13-14% BF. I am currently maintaining at 3400-3600 calories per day.

Love the textbook recommendations!!!
Unfortunately these people have little to no nutrition education nor training.

You know nothing. Obviously, the cure for elevated lipids is 1500 calories of fish.
Tired of being told what to eat, by people who don't have a clue, and some of them have letters after their name, and still have no clue.0 -
Yes, to make any recommendations on calorie intake surely they at least need to know what level of activity you have. I cycle 36 miles a day and if I don't eat enough I feel faint and very grumpy!0
