back on track - accountability

I didn't weigh on Saturday morning like I normally do because I was out of town. I celebrated at a 50th anniversary party and decided I would not track everything for that one day. I drank beer and ate without regard to calories. Then I didn't track everything the next day, either. Then Monday, I tried to track but ended up not finishing my tracking that day, either. Today, I woke up feeling crappy (there's a virus going around these parts) and could barely eat. I decided I had to track - and get BACK on track! - today. No more of that slippery slope, thank you very much. It has taken me almost two months to lose 12 lbs and, knowing my metabolism, I can gain that back and then some in two weeks if I'm not careful. I'm finally starting to feel comfortable in my clothes again. I'm finally starting to see light at the end of my 50-lb tunnel. I don't want to keep sliding backwards.

Way to get back at it! Add me if you want help with accountability.
  • First, let me say, WELCOME BACK :) Do not beat yourself up about getting off track. Applaud yourself for getting BACK on track. That is what truly matters. The journey of a thousand miles, starts with a SINGLE step. 12 lbs in 2 months is really awesome! Nothing to shake a stick at! Go to the store and hold 10 lbs of potatoes in your hands.....that is what is OFF your body. Be proud of getting back on track and celebrate the small things. I am proud of you :)
