Is it easier to lose weight on a HIGH PROTEIN DIET?

Hi, I'm just curious.
How are protein calories different from carb calories and fats?

Because i know it eventually comes down to calories in VS calories out. Does that mean your body will look the same if you ate on a calorie deficit, by eating junk all day vs healthy eating?? Or do the two diets result in different body fat percentages??
Also if it's all calories in vs out, why do people say you lose more weight on a protein diet? I get how you feel fuller, but is that the only reason?
