so i need help! i'm trying to get my head round fat2fit tools,as it says i should be eating 4252 cals a day ???
can anyone help me get my head around this please i filled my info in as follows....

age..35
sex..male
height..71 inches
current weight..175 pounds
goal weight..150 pounds
fat percentage..22.6
result i should be eating 4252 cals aday?

i was eating 1500cals aday but have recently upped this to 1810 cals a day.

i run 4 time a week and do weights monday,wednesday,friday,and saturday burning 800 calories on each run and eat the calories back so on days i run i eat 2610 cals any help would be awesome i'm just finding it very confusing at the moment and begginning to lose faith in my diet plan thanks in advance... matthew

so far i've lost 10 pounds i've gone from 182 pounds to 172 pounds but then weighed myself today and i'm 175 pounds.
maths was never my strong point at school. lol

    Have you considered using the TDEE method? It would give you a calorie amount to eat on a daily basis based on your activity level. I would say that considering you are running 4x & lifting 3x a week, you would be minimally in the moderately active category (though I would look at your day to day activity as well as that might bump you into strenuous.

    To keep your muscle and lose fat, and to go at a doable level, I'd do a -15% reduction, though you can go to -20%.

    i set the macro nutrients to 35% protein 35% carbs and 30% fat and got 3015 cals to lose fat at 15% ?

    I punched your numbers into scooby for you (I'm horrible to myself and now know how much more food I could have if i was male and a little taller :( )

    I get 2396 cals for 15% deficit, 2255 for a 20% one (based on moderate exercise).

    That's a big difference to what you came up with, and more similar to what you say has been working for you so far.
