I was wondering if anyone could help me... I have lost all my weight, but I haven't transitioned into maintaining yet, I was going to start on Monday and go up 100 cals a week. this is just how I feel comfortable doing it... i'm a little scared not going to lie.
Anywho I have lost all my weight doing Jillian Michaels 30 day shred, I did each level for 10 days, taking sat and sun off, (I work at a wedding hall, so I work all weekend) I Just started ripped in 30, I did level 1 for 7 days, and just started level 2 yesterday. this past weekend I went to Oktoberfest with some friends and ate a HUGE salted pretzel, a root beer float, then went on to have more ice cream later, and a small bowl of soup.... so before Oktoberfest, I was feeling lean and in shape, then I went, ate all that crap, and it is now Thursday, and I feel as though my stomach has leaned back out but my legs just look so chunky... its driving me nuts. I expected to bounce back to feeling lean within a few days. I have been drinking 9 cups of water a day. eating veggies and fruit, oatmeal etc... my scale weight has not moved from its original weight, which is great, but my legs look more chunky then before and its very discouraging. any advice or anyone whos in the same position?

I think you need to develop a healthier relationship with food. One weekend of eating "junk" isn't going to undo al of your hard work.0

Agreed. It's likely you're retaining water from lots of sodium, but there's no reason you should think your work is void because you had one fun weekend.0 -
I think your over thinking it & looking into it too much!!!!
You cant put on weight that quickly - Your legs or thighs cant be slim one week, then chunky the next week
Its impossible!!
Its all in YOUR HEAD!! Trust me!!!!
Learn to love food, eat healthy & work out - That really is it!!!!!!
We all have mental weekends eating, drinking lots of alcohol.... So!!! We all get back on it and move on..... : )0 -
I would say to just give it time. You'll bounce back, especially if the scale has not moved. Also, for your reverse diet to maintaining, check out this video. It does a great job discussing the subject.

Chillax! You probably have water retention is all.0

OP: You've got a good plan to switch to maintenance calories. Don't be discouraged!0

I'm not intending to be snarky or unkind, but maybe you should not spend so much time looking in the mirror and criticizing your body parts.0

I have weeks where I feel I look bigger than others, with no change in the scale. It's normal. Water retention, bloating depending on where you are in your cycle, constipation....it could be any number of things. The slimmer you are, the more noticeable it is. But keep in mind you're probably the only person who notices.0

We all have times where we feel bloated and chubby. A lot of it is mental. What works for me when I'm felling that way is exercise. It's pretty much impossible to feel fat after you've just run 4 miles. What else can you do to boost your mood so completely - and in such a short time too?0
