Question about Insanity ?

So I'm an 18 yr old guy, 5'7 170 lbs, trying to get in shape and I was wondering how many calories would I burn at my weight and height with Insanity every workout on average. Also, this might be a stupid question but when you get muscle soreness the next day since your muscles are growing, does that burn calories too ?(except the afterburn effect). Also, do you think I can loose 20 lbs in those 60 days of Insanity ? My main goal is to be 150 lbs before 2015. Any help would be appreciated. I wish everyone a great day :)

depends on a lot of factors. How fit you are now, how hard you push yourself, if you take breaks or not, etc. that said I would guess in the 45 min workout you would burn 400-650 calories, which is quite a wide range

I average 300-450 calories per workout on insanity month 1 and month two I can usually hit around 600.

Your muscles aren't sore because they're growing-its because they have broken down. it doesn't burn extra calories.

I lost about 16lbs in 60days, my mom lost closer to 40. it can be done.

For your calories burned I would invest in an HRM. It will probably range from 400-700 calories.

Muscle soreness does not burn extra calories.

You can possibly lose 20 lbs in the 60 days of Insanity, but no telling it will happen. Many people don't see the big loss until the second month.

If you apply yourself, yes you can lose that much in the 3 months you have. Remember that weight loss starts with your diet.

Thanks for the replies! By the way I'm quite fit because I was playing football CB/WR and I got fat because they asked me to gain weight so the fastest way was to eat a lot of junk food, so I'm still fast and strong, just a little chubbier haha
