How do you lose water weight ?

I don't know if anybody ever tried losing water weight since I read some people said they looked shredded to the bone after losing water weight that made their muscles look fat. Has anyone ever tried it ? If yes, what did you do and what were the results ?

sounds like you were talking to someone who dropped water weight for the purpose of a photoshoot or a competition.

if thats what you're looking to do usually it is advised to take a natural diuretic starting 7-10 days before the day of the photoshoot/competition. the day before - don't drink as much water, just sip on it to get your food down.

Tons of water for about a week and then you dehydrate yourself for a couple of days before you want to look cut to rid your body of excess water. Also sauna and diuretic type foods such as asparagus help. But this is only for very short term (such as for body shows)...otherwise you don't really want to lose water, its good for you..If you're really bloated after lots of carbs or salt just hit some cardio and sauna and you'll de-puff :P

Thanks for the replies everyone ! :) By the way, no I'm not going to do any photoshoot or anything similar, but for example first thing in the morning I look leaner than night before sleep. Probably because I eat a lot of carbs (we eat white pasta and white bread everyday here in Italy, even though people here aren't really fat) so I was thinking of losing some water weight to look leaner, my stomach after a big dinner looks like I gained 20 lbs in 20 minutes haha

Drink normal (not excessive) amounts of water - not pop, tea, juice, etc. Water.
    Lower your sodium.

    Wait a couple days.

    :)

I saw a show once about competition body builders. They would distilled water right before a show which would pretty much draw out every little bit of water from them.

Drink plenty of water then lather yourself up in preparation H gel in the morning. This is actually not a smart-*kitten* comment.

Unless you already looked pretty damn good, losing water weight probably won't help much.
