This is the most delicious homemade quick bread I've ever had. This is my new favorite homemade quick bread.
http://www.spendwithpennies.com/warm-apple-pie-bread-with-cinnamon/
I got the recipe from here. I also added about 1/8 of a teaspoon of nutmeg, 1/8 teaspoon of cinnamon, and 1/8 teaspoon allspice to the batter as well. I also opted to use cinnamon applesauce, instead of plain applesauce in this. Other than that, you've got a deliciously moist bread to celebrate the start of fall. Pretty sure I'm going to be the favorite person at work tomorrow when I share this.
(Edit): I ended up getting 15 good size pieces out of this loaf.
153 calories, 26g carbs, 4g fat, 2g protein, and 5g calcium.
Even with 10 slices, my version would come out to less than 250 calories a slice.
Enjoy!

How about we turn that into all love when I say I actually got 15 decent size slices out of this, so the macros are even lower? :flowerforyou:

It was; I used a Braeburn apple and a Macintosh. Perfect balance of crisp, soft, and sweet.
I may try with a mix of Granny Smith, Braeburn, and Macintosh next time as well!0 -

I'm now wondering what this would be like with thin rings of apples layered in the middle...
Do I dare experiment...?

As an update: I made a similar recipe to this. It didn't call for the applesauce in the batter, but other than that, it's close to the same. It's really really good. Especially fresh out of the oven with a scoop of ice cream.0
