Finally feel motivated enough!

Hi!
I recently completed a body scan at my university and seeing the numbers made me realize that I should get in shape. Now I always knew I should build some muscle since I still had some baby fat on my bones. I feel as if now is a good time to start and posting this would benefit me since it's like writing in stone, haha.
My goals are to lose 12 lb of fat and gain 14.3 lean body mass.
I've been tracking my calorie intake for about a week now and I find it rather easy since the dining halls have their food info on their page.
The reason I've given up in the past, because trust me, this is like the 20th time attempting this, is because I've gotten into a bad habit of binge eating and giving up on a diet the next day.
However, I've never taken it this far to actually partake in the MFP community and to actually get a body scan!
I can't wait and it's weird for me to say this but I'm actually excited to start going to the gym and lifting some weights! Bring it on!
