More then 2 grams per kilogram of body weight. If you are the average person training for fitness and health, you only need 0.8 grams per kilogram of body weight. Endurance athletes need a little more at 1 to 1.5 grams per kilogram of body weight. Body builders need even more at 1.5 to 2 grams per kilogram. Anything over 2 grams per kilogram hasn't been proven to be effective at helping recovery or any other function in the body. Excess protein can actually be detrimental if you have kidney issues or high blood pressure (because that is actually partially regulated by the kidneys). Plus, in excess, anything consumed can be stored as body fat, even protein.

Depends if you are on a high protein diet or a balanced diet. A balanced diet consists for protein ranging from 10-30% of total calories. MFP defaults at 15% so you can still eat a balanced diet with doubling the MFP recommend protein.
