Sorry but need to share.... today I made target, more to the point it was my aspirational target, a target which thought may be unachievable so kept to myself.

So new years day 2014 203lb and now 140lb.
Bmi was 33.8 now 23.2

63lb gone but not forgotten...

All my mini goals hit and then some.
Size 18-20 now 10-12 (UK)
Absolutely loving the fitness, eating so much nicer food and feel awesome.

    Thank you xx

My new goals are fitness related, have started running again and want to build it up. I currently do about 7 hours of exercise a week, mostly classes, a mixture of cardio and weight based. I would love abs...

I am quite pleased with my skin, as although still have stretch marks (3kids) apart from a bit squishy below my belly button generally feels like I have got away with it... everywhere else is as it should be. Also that bit is easy to hide in a bikini.

I intend to maintain but a little part of me things another 7lb, currently getting a lot of "advice" by friends and family to stop, so it's hard to decide if to redo goal or not.

10 months to lose but have had 2x 2week holidays where I continued to eat well but didn't log. One of which was the theme parks in Florida and I actually lost lbs rather than gained.

    Congratulations!!!!!!!!
  • Congratulations! Weight loss is a great reward for a hard hard work!!!

Ignore people who tell you to stop, continue ( if BMI within normal)!!! People are jelous and that's why they want you to stop.

    Thank you xxx

I have decided to add another 7lb onto my goal but with a whenever finish target just to keep me on the straight and narrow as maintenance seems a bit scary. I am the lightest I have been as an adult now which is quite bizarre.

Congratulations, OP!! It is a fabulous feeling, having lost so much excess weight, isn't it? I wish you all the best at maintaining the loss and getting the last 7 of your new goal off as well.

I think you mentioned weights above. I added lifting weights to my daily routine last month because I'm so close to my goal. Now I'm really starting to see a difference, most especially around my middle and lower belly area as well as across the fattest part of my back. I've had 5 kids, and weighed over 200lbs for so many years, so seeing improvement in the flabby belly area is wonderful. Keep at it, and you might see even more improvement than I have!

Thank you for sharing your success. We all need to hear that it is possible, especially when we are struggling, which happens to us all from time to time.

Thank you lovely mfp friends xx
  • That's fantastic! Your goal was similar to mine, and I've just started MFP three days ago and was only "successful" today, so this is really inspirational for me. Way to go!
