Weight Already Lost

Hi - Just found this site.
I've been walking since this past February; I've lost about 22 lbs. - 150 to 128 (5'2") I've been more careful about what I eat - MUCH more in fruit and vegetable categories.
I strive for a walk every day, but won't let more two days go by. Ex.: walk Sunday, MUST walk again on Wednesday. I've increased to 3 miles per walk, which takes just about an hour, so I'm getting between 9 and 12 miles per week. It's miserable walking in Florida right now, really humid, but the weather is starting to change, and I've been going out about 5:30AM. I even got my husband to go with me for half a mile yesterday - and he felt pretty good afterwards!
I'd really like to get down to about 120 lbs. More of my old clothes are starting to fit again, and everything I do wear is definitely looking better.
I attribute most of the loss to walking. Even though I'm totally hot and sweaty when I get home, I really enjoy walking!

  • Hi Joan! Congratulations on your weight loss already! Is the only thing you've done walk? I just started walking a few nights ago and I go about 1/4 mile-1/2 mile. I walk with my fiancé but he works second so it's always 11:30 before he gets home, and I work first so I try to walk fast lol!
