feeling frustrated

sept 16 2013 I started my journey. 285 lbs 44 waist.
as of today, im around 264 when not retaining water hahaha
im now a 38-40 waist
can someone look at my diet and give me some pointers
it really frustrating because I spend so much time in the gym and really watch what I eat.
I am heavy weight training, and I know that whole thing about muscle weighs more than fat.
but at some point there has got to be more weight loss on the scale. I lean towards a keto diet
and do interval training for cardio.
please help

Open your food diary and people could give you better advice. :)

It's calories in vs out. Do you take cheat days? How consistently are you logging? Do you own a food scale?

You should weigh everything you consume that isn't a freely pouring liquid on a food scale, at least for a while, and make sure you're using the right entries from the database.

  • Try not to look at it as a failure on your part. You ARE making progress. It's probably slower than you like, but you have sustained it for a year! That's pretty fantastic in my book. Are you weighing and measuring all of your food? Are you accounting for everything (a teaspoon of sugar here, a dollop of sour cream there adds up) My pitfalls tend to be phantom-cookies and midnight snacks. I know I eat a cookie and think, "i'll log that later" and never do, or if I have insomnia I'll eat a PB sandwich to help me sleep and forget to account for it. It isn't really a big deal to me, I know it's slowing down my weight loss significantly but the overall trend is downward so good enough.

So either be happy that you are making progress and losing weight, or go the harder route and find the culprit that's holding you back.
