They say you should never judge a book by its cover, and Freddie Combs is a living testament to that statement. The 42-year-old minister and singer/songwriter from Johnson City, Tennessee is not someone you'd immediately associate with being successful at a show like "The X Factor". Luckily, Combs is no stranger to overcoming some daunting odds. After having a brush with death due to his obesity, Freddie took control of his life and lost roughly 400 lbs!

Here, Freddie wows the judges with his beautiful rendition of "Wind Beneath My Wings". Freddie and his wife Kay have also appeared on TLC's "Heavily Ever After" and "Ton of Love", as well as appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live and Entertainment Tonight.
