Probiotics to relieve indigestion?

I've been having bad indigestion, and after tracking my eating for a week, my diet is solid on micronutrients (fiber, omega acids, vitamins A-K, calcium, zinc, etc.), but I don't think I'm getting probiotics in any significant quantity. I've had to use heavy antibiotics recently (not for the first time in my life, either), and was wondering if an Attune chocolate bar each day (probably the mint variety) would be a sufficient source of probiotics to get my guts working right again? Has anyone here experienced probiotics helping get their guts back in good working order?

I eat 100 calorie Chobani yogurt almost everyday, and it's loaded with probiotics. Also, though it's not a probiotic, something that truly helps to keep everything in good working order is chia seeds. I recommend throwing a tablespoon of them over a 0% Chobani everyday and seeing if that helps. It's only 160 calories.0

When you say indigestion, what do you mean? In common parlance, "indigestion" means any kind of GI tract discomfort. Indigestion is really acid reflux/heartburn or excessive stomach gas for which probiotics would have no effect (you would need antacids, proton inhibitors, or H-2 inhibitors). If you have intestinal pain (e.g. bloating, gas, cramps, and irregular bowel movements, etc.), then probiotics may help.0

I developed bad indigestion when I was pregnant with my son, and continued with it for about 18 years. Since I've cut out all sugar and processed rubbish from my diet, no indigestion at all. Not once in months.0

Heh, I should have mentioned in the original post that the reason my diet is light on probiotics currently is because I can't stand yogurt, kimchi, sauerkraut, and pretty much all the other foods that appear in 'top 10 propbiotic food lists' in Google results. I can throw some chia seeds in oatmeal and see how that works though. When you say indigestion, what do you mean? In common parlance, "indigestion" means any kind of GI tract discomfort. I guess the best way to describe the pain is that it feels like I'm trying to pass an inflated balloon through my intestines after meals.I developed bad indigestion when I was pregnant with my son, and continued with it for about 18 years. My diet is almost completely organic, process foods and excess sugar aren't a problem for me.0
