I ran yesterday.
For the first time in a long damn time.
I didn't run very far or very fast or very long.
But I ran.

I think I'll do it again tomorrow.

Depending on how far you ran, you might want to check out a training program like Couch-2-5k. You can get apps for your phone (if you are into it) that can make running success really motivating!

You should check out C25K running program (Couch to 5K). I hadn't run in 10 years and a friend suggested it to me when I told him I wanted to start running. It's a run/walk program to ease a beginner into a running routine. There is the free version you can get on your phone (C25K by ZenLabs) or you can pay $1 for the add free version. It literately changed my life. I love to run now and I was at least 100 pounds overweight when I started the program.

Yep. I used the Week 1 Day One of C25K to do my first run. OK, technically it was a run/walk but the fact that I could run nine heats of 30 or 60 seconds each surprised me.

That is awesome! No matter how far, fast, or long you ran, you still ran further, faster, and longer than had you sat on the couch.

Here's another vote for using C25K. It really works. I followed the program and now routinely run 5km 2-3 times a week.

Ive heard about C25K for a long time...

what is the general idea / purpose?

Been treadmilling for a while, thinking about bigger challenges down the road

    thanks
