                    I ran yesterday.
For the first time in a long damn time.
I didn't run very far or very fast or very long.
But I ran.
I think I'll do it again tomorrow.

            Well done you!0

Depending on how far you ran, you might want to check out a training program like Couch-2-5k. You can get apps for your phone (if you are into it) that can make running success really motivating!0

You should check out C25K running program (Couch to 5K). I hadn't run in 10 years and a friend suggested it to me when I told him I wanted to start running. It's a run/walk program to ease a beginner into a running routine. There is the free version you can get on your phone (C25K by ZenLabs) or you can pay $1 for the add free version. It literately changed my life. I love to run now and I was at least 100 pounds overweight when I started the program.0

Love this post. I. ran. You da man!0
-
Yep. I used the Week 1 Day One of C25K to do my first run. OK, technically it was a run/walk but the fact that I could run nine heats of 30 or 60 seconds each surprised me.0
-
That is awesome! No matter how far, fast, or long you ran, you still ran further, faster, and longer than had you sat on the couch.0
-
Good for you! Keep it up!0

I love it! I did the same thing when I ran. Same as you, it wasnt long or far or fast but it was and that was awesome!0

Here's another vote for using C25K. It really works. I followed the program and now routinely run 5km 2-3 times a week.0

Ive heard about C25K for a long time...
what is the general idea / purpose?
Been treadmilling for a while, thinking about bigger challenges down the road
 thanks

I am on week 3 and I love it. Every week I think I psych myself out but then I do it. And every week I start to love it a little more. Good luck! 0 0

Yay! Me too! Hurrah for beginning runners!
I started c25k last week but didn't do it properly so I'm doing week one again this week - day 1 yesterday. It's the first time I have run, by choice, in my entire life! And I didn't hate it. :happy:0
